"Fortunately for me, I met Michelle shortly after receiving my diagnosis for Parkinson's Disease over 7 years ago.  I go to a world renown neurologist who thought that yoga would benefit me.  With his help networking, I became Michelle's student. Parkinson's is mostly known for its tremors, but there can also be significant stiffness throughout the body and also cognitive issues. As stiffness is one of my issues, yoga has enabled me to continue to work and even participate in athletics.  Michelle has been methodical and so thoughtful in building me a program uniquely suited for my situation.  Her intelligence and clear knowledge of anatomy merge seamlessly with a unique sensitivity for those for whom she works.  Over the past several years I have taken advantage of her integrated program and now get tremendous relief from her yoga program, massage therapy and more recently learning how to meditate.  I can already see the benefits as I have worked (and continue to work) in a high stress senior position in finance.  Stress is an enemy of Parkinson's.  It is awful to imagine where I would be at this juncture without her help and her encouragement!"

"(With tears of gratitude in my eyes….) After injuring my knee a year ago, it was not healing, no matter what I tried, and I was continually re-injuring it. Having little success with supplements for joint support, or PT, I reached out to Michelle Synnestvedt. In my first session she uncovered the roots of the issue and taught me how to correct them with yoga exercises. ONE day later, I was able to walk uphill for the first time without pain. I can’t wait to see where I am six months from now. My gratitude to you, Michelle for your knowledge of the human body and your ability to individualize a recovery program."

"In July of 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My treatment included chemotherapy , immunotherapy, surgery and radiation. Thankfully , also it included weekly sessions with Michelle Synnestvedt
I know that I needed all that my doctors and surgeons offered me but much of my treatment left me feeling weak, nauseous and withdrawn.
My weekly visits with Michelle was the only thing that made me feel better. Michelle helped me with my diet. She researched my treatment options and supported me in all my decisions. The gentle bodywork and energy clearing were powerful medicine for me. I will be forever grateful that I had access to such knowledge and sweet support.
It is now July 2016 and I am cancer free"- Amy H.

"After giving birth to my son I slowly developed an issue in my SI joint that became so severe that I wasn't able to walk without pain. I was hobbling around and hardly able to move. I was seeing a chiropractor regularly, but nothing he was doing was providing any relief. I got in touch with Michelle and she agreed to have a skype session with me. She had me lie on the ground and do a variety of movements to assess what was going on until she got it. She gave me concrete directions that I could follow for how to rehabilitate the injury. Within days I was walking without pain. It was so effective. What is particularly amazing is that although I had been seeing a chiropractor in person twice a week he was unable to diagnose the underlying issue, whereas Michelle, 200 miles away peering through a small screen, could see what was mechanically going wrong as I moved and gave me exercises that brought my body back into alignment and out of pain. I was so happy to work with her and was thrilled at how quickly I improved."- Alanna B, Upstate, NY.

"I did an online yoga session with Michelle after a frustrating knee injury that left me with limited movement. I was amazed how she was able to not only connect and teach me over Skype, but also direct me in specific poses and stretches from half a world away. Her teaching style is personal and direct, making it easy to follow and also a lot of fun. From my apartment in Tel Aviv, we had a great session in Philadelphia."- Justin Jacobs, Tel Aviv

"Michelle is an extraordinarily gifted healer and teacher.  When I met Michelle I was extremely physically debilitated and severely depressed, having spent one and a half years bed-ridden.  I began to notice big changes in my condition after seeing Michelle for only two sessions.  She has a miraculous way of getting to the heart of any issue, and with a rare healing gift she is able to devise a recovery program just right for you.  With sage advice and knowledge that goes above and beyond she will meet you wherever you are and guide you into restoration.  My deepest gratitude goes to Michelle for healing, teaching, and guiding me these past couple years.  In less than 6 months with Michelle I was back on my feet and able to live again.  Now, less than two years later, I am able to run, jump, and play.  Things my doctors never thought were possible.  Thank you, Michelle."  -Katie Lorah M.Ed.

Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation as any painter’s or sculptor’s work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God’s spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts.
